History

In October of 1990, Dr. Warner pioneered the vision of a congregation for the western part of Hypoluxo Road in Lake Worth, Florida. With two hundred eighty dollars and sixty cents, the first worship service was held at the Holiday Inn Catalina in Boynton Beach. Then for three years the congregation met each Sunday at the Florida Eye Microsurgical Institute which was made available by Dr. Jonathan Chua at no charge to the church. Then in 1995 the congregation bought the Hypoluxo Road property and with a gift of D. Talacki, converted the garage into the beautiful Talacki Chapel. The chandeliers came from a Catholic Church in Virginia and pews from First Baptist Church in Delray Beach. In 2000 the church paid off all mortgages. In 2003 the church bought additional land behind Taco Bell.

The church does not conduct an annual every member canvass to support its budget; which includes partial support of five missionaries. In missions the congregation has built a school in Viet Nam for one hundred boys and girls and two years ago raise enough money to provide a whole village in Papua New Guinea with fresh clean water. It is hoped that recent gifts will enable the church to add much needed classrooms, office space and staff. Still small and friendly the services are well attended each Sunday with 9 a.m. Sunday School and 10 a.m.Worship. All are welcome.
